Our History

In 1965, the founder of Mr. Hero opened his first submarine shop on Cleveland’s Westside. Since that time, we have expanded the market to Toledo, Columbus, Akron, and all throughout Northeast Ohio. The Corporate Headquarters, RESTAURANT DEVELOPERS CORPORATION of Cleveland, Ohio, is the franchising company behind Mr. Hero restaurants and Mr. Hero Express. We pride ourselves in our community connections and our contributions to local charities. This has given us the opportunity to give back to the community for which has contributed to our success. Mr. Hero continues its success to this day with Michael Nasr serving as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing day-to-day operations.

Founded as a specialty sandwich shop, we pride ourselves on our unique delectable product line, featuring the signature Romanburger® , Hot Buttered Cheesesteak™ , Taste Buddies, deli subs and salads, and a variety of side items. Our point of differentiation clearly centers on the food!
